A little bit about me…
My interest in Pilates began while suffering from chronic lower back pain and looking to alleviate my symptoms. With a background in dance, I had discovered the joy of movement and an understanding of the of mind-body connection, which led me easily to the exploration of anatomy, injuries and rehabilitation.
My training started with Power Pilates in 2005, but I found myself longing to learn more. In 2007, I continued my training with Ellie Herman in New York. This allowed me the opportunity to study with some of the best teachers in the field - including Denise Small, Irene Dowd, Leslie Powell, Doris Pasteur-Hall, Joy Puleo, and Amy Matthews, just to name a few. In 2015, I brought my practice from New York City to Los Angeles. Shortly thereafter I became a mother and found myself preaching the importance of self care while simultaneously realizing the dire need for accountability and accessibility within my own life. As a parent, I've gained an acute awareness of the importance of taking care your body.

And a bit about my teaching style..
As a teacher, I now focus on postnatal bodies and many people dealing with issues of aging. I help moms to rediscover their bodies after their babies are born, and build strength from where they are now - instead of where they were. In our work together we will balance the restorative affects of Craniosacral techniques with the strengthening benefits of Pilates-based movement, as well as weight training (because kids get heavy).
